Un
diagrama de estructura de desglose del trabajo (WBS ) es una
herramienta clave
de gestión de proyectos que desglosa un proyecto en
componentes o tareas más pequeños y
manejables. En esencia, se trata de una
descomposición jerárquica del alcance total del trabajo que debe realizar el equipo del proyecto para lograr los objetivos del proyecto y crear los entregables requeridos.
PlantUML puede resultar especialmente útil para crear
diagramas de WBS. Su
diagramación basada en texto significa que crear y actualizar una WBS es tan sencillo como editar un documento de texto, lo que resulta especialmente beneficioso para gestionar los cambios a lo largo del ciclo de vida del proyecto. Este enfoque permite una fácil integración con los
sistemas de control de versiones, lo que garantiza el seguimiento de todos los cambios y el mantenimiento del historial de evolución de la WBS.
Además, la compatibilidad de PlantUML con otras herramientas aumenta su utilidad en
